Available Permits & Licenses

Currently, event promoters can apply for:

1. A Places of Amusement Permit from the St. James Municipal Corporation.

2. A Nosie Abatement Permit from the St. James Police Division.

3. A Fire Certificate from the St. James Fire Department (coming Soon!).


Places of Amusement Permit

A Places of Amusement License is needed to operate a place open to the public for purposes of entertainment either free or for a fee. The purpose of this license is to ensure that all safety standards including fire, health and traffic regulations are met. Any place open to the public is required to obtain a Places of Amusement Licence.

Noise Abatement Permit

The Noise Abatement Permit is authorization granted by the police to allow amplified music or other entertainment in public spaces where it could potentially disturb people living in private homes nearby. The application requires details about the event, including the applicant's name, event date, time, venue, the type of event, the sound system owner, and the number of expected attendees.
